What Are Whales? Are they Fish?
No whales are not fish, they are mammals. Whales do not possess gills like fish, they breath air like humans through blowholes on the top of their heads. They are warm blooded creatures that maintain a body temperature higher than that of their surroundings. In addition they give birth to live young unlike fish which lay eggs.
